Overview

What this actually involves.

Most of the expensive surprises on an equipment project were visible at survey stage. A door that will not take the gantry, a slab that will not take the load, a magnet that has to be de-energised, an elevator that was never rated for it.

Consulting is where we find those things while they are still cheap. You get a written assessment: what is feasible, what the route is, what has to happen first, and what it will realistically cost and take. HTM, biomedical and facilities teams use it to build a budget they can defend.

How we do it

Consulting, step by step.

01

Understand the goal

What is moving, where it is going, when the space is needed and what the department cannot afford to lose along the way.

02

Survey and measure

We walk it. Doorways, elevators, turning circles, floor loading, shielding, services and the state of the equipment itself.

03

Identify the constraints

The things that will stop the job or change the price: structural limits, access, OEM requirements, permits, and what has to be sequenced around what.

04

Report in writing

A written assessment with feasible options, the route, the sequence and a realistic cost and schedule range you can take to a budget meeting.

Questions

Consulting, answered.

Do I have to use you for the move afterwards?

No. The assessment stands on its own and is yours. Most clients do come back to us, but that is their call and it is not a condition of the survey.

How early should we bring you in?

Earlier than most people do. Once a budget is fixed and a date is set, your options narrow. At the feasibility stage there is usually more than one way to do it.

Do you work with our HTM and biomedical teams?

That is who this is mostly for. We work to the equipment consultation and project planning your HTM team needs, in language they can put in front of finance.

Most projects use more than one. We handle them all, so nothing gets handed off.

Planning a move? Start with a site survey.

Tell us what you're moving and when. We'll walk the space, build the rigging plan and give you a firm number, with no obligation. We are the first call for OEMs, ISOs and health systems who need projects done right, on time and on budget.
