Overview

What this actually involves.

Heavy plant does not come out the way it went in. Rooms get built around it, pipework and conduit get run into it, and the route it arrived through has usually been closed off for years. We survey all of that before a bolt is touched.

Every lift is engineered before it happens: load calculations, floor-loading checks, pick points, crane position and landing area, all settled on paper and issued to your team. On the day the crew works to that plan with rated, inspection-certified gear and a lift supervisor who stops the job rather than improvising.

  • Breakdown to the largest sections that can leave the building
  • Engineered lift plans, load calculations and structural checks
  • Crane, gantry, skate and jacking systems as the job needs

  • Transport between sites on our own trucks and drivers
How we do it

Heavy Machinery Movers, step by step.

01

Survey and engineer

Weights, pick points, floor loading, door widths and turning circles are checked end to end, and the lift is calculated before you get a price.

02

Isolate and break down

Services isolated, systems drained, connections broken by qualified trades, and the unit reduced to sections that can travel the route.

03

Rig, move and transport

Skated, gantried or craned out under a lift supervisor, then loaded and moved on our own fleet with the crew that rigged it.

04

Set and release

Landed on its base, shimmed, levelled, anchored and restrained, then released to the mechanical or electrical trade to connect.

Questions

Heavy Machinery Movers, answered.

Can you work while the building is occupied?

Yes, that is most of what we do. Isolation is agreed with your facilities team, routes are protected and screened, and noisy work is scheduled for the hours you nominate.

Do you provide the crane?

We arrange and coordinate it as part of the lift, sized against the engineered plan. One number, one point of contact, rather than you managing a crane hire.

What if the floor will not take the load?

Then we say so at survey rather than on the day. Load spreading, temporary propping or a different route are all options, and the structural check happens before the quote.
