The general basis on which we quote, schedule and carry out work.
Last updated 21 August 2026These terms cover your use of this website and set out the general basis on which Coastal Mechanical & Rigging provides services.
They do not replace a signed quote, contract or work order. Where a written quote or agreement says something different from this page, that document takes priority.
We provide installation, deinstallation, rigging, relocation, transportation and storage of healthcare and related equipment.
We do not perform manufacturer calibration or clinical commissioning. Equipment is set, leveled and released to your OEM field engineer for that work, unless your quote states otherwise.
Quotes are based on the conditions recorded at the site survey: measured routes, access, floor loading and the equipment described to us.
If conditions on the day differ materially from the survey, the crew will stop and contact you before proceeding rather than improvise. Any change to price or timing will be agreed with you first.
Unless stated otherwise on the document itself, a quote is an offer to perform the described work and is valid for the period shown on it.
Work is scheduled into an agreed window, including nights and weekends where that reduces your downtime.
You are responsible for making sure the site is available as agreed: access to the route, working elevators where required, parking or dock space for our vehicles, and any badging, escort or infection control arrangements your facility requires. Delays caused by access being unavailable may affect the schedule and the price.
Before we mobilize, please make sure that:
We are insured and bonded, and we will issue certificates of insurance to your facility on request before work begins.
The limits of our liability, and the insurance in place for a given project, are set out in your quote or contract for that work. Nothing on this page increases or reduces what those documents say.
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults in equipment, for defects that were not visible at survey, or for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Payment terms, deposits and any storage charges are stated in your quote or contract. Please refer to that document rather than to this page for the commercial terms of your project.
Facilities reschedule. We understand that, and we would rather move a date than have you rush a suite back into service.
Tell us as early as you can. Where crews, cranes or carriers have already been committed for your window, any charges that apply will be those set out in your quote or contract.
Equipment held in our warehouse is recorded on intake with a condition report and remains your property throughout.
Storage periods, charges and release arrangements are set out in your agreement for that storage.
The text, photographs and design on this site belong to Coastal Mechanical & Rigging. The project photographs show our own work. Please do not reproduce them without asking us first.
We keep the information here as accurate as we can, but the site is general information rather than a technical or engineering specification. Do not rely on it in place of a survey and a written rigging plan.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed. The terms that apply to your project are the ones in force when your quote or contract was agreed.
